This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing PinAnApp for Android Wear on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I was expecting this app to set a shortcut to the active screen/app so that I could swipe it open whenever I wanted. Instead it is used to keep open whatever app you have in the foreground, even if the screen goes off so it loads up straight away. Useful when you want to save battery and not have to load up the same app time after time but if you could turn the swipe gesture into a sort of favourite shortcut launcher it would be great. The app design otherwise is very neat and good looking.

Tried to pin the golf shot app during rounds of golf but it does not work. Screen keeps going back to its default screen after 15 seconds.

Awesome work. I'm been looking for this app since I got my Moto 360. It works great for the example of grocery store and always checking your list. I use it when I golf so my rangefinder apps are right there at the front and I don't have to manually get back into the app.

This is a full free version. In app purchase is for donations only.
Note that with the last version of Android Wear, it is no more possible to pin apps, and no solution seems possible. However, you can still use the option allowing to keep the screen on.

Easily pin an Android Wear App and see it every time you look at your watch.
With a simple swipe over your watch screen you can insure the app currently displayed will be visible as soon as you will look at your watch (when the screen will turn on).
You can unregister the app by simply swiping again.
You can configure the position of the active area from the phone application. By default the active is in the middle left side of the screen.

You can force the watch screen to stay on by selecting the "Keep on" option. The screen will then stay on until you press the exit button or cover the screen with your hand to turn of the screen.

This app is very useful, for example, when you are at a grocery store and use Google Keep for your grocery list. No need to start the app every time you want to see your list. Just look at your watch, and it is visible.
