This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Translanguage OCR on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Easy to learn Chinese by using the Pinyin feature. Simply take a picture of Chinese characters, wait for the recognition and the pinyin will be displayed along with the translation.

Translanguage OCR gives you a powerful word and phrase translator in the palm of your hand. Traveling to a country and can't read or spell the language? Simply take a picture and wait for the translated results. Studying a new language? Translation is just a click away!

How do I use it?

Using the touch screen, adjust the rectangular box to fit the text that you need for translation. Change the languages parameters and snap the picture using the camera button. If it is too dark, use the flash button to turn on your phone's flash and use it as a flashlight.

Language packs are downloaded on a need basis and only once. Chinese, Japanese and Korean are big language packs and is recommended that Wifi is used to download these language packs.

If the app does not work, please fill the bug report and I will do my best to fix things right away. Do not just rate the app 1 star and say it doesn't work. It is hard to test this app on all devices as a single developer.
