Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Wear Notes - Notes & To-Do on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Fake app. Doesn't work. Avoid!

Would be a great app if we could store the notes. Since they disappear with a swipe, I can't use this app to send a note about anything important. Since I would only send notes about important things, my conclusion is: the app is its current state is useless. Why would I send a note about anything unimportant? And why would I risk of losing an important note? In my opinion storing function for notes is essential.

About this app

Wear Notes greatly simplify the process of sending any text to your wearable device. Just type or say any arbitrary text and it will be pushed over to your wearable as a card or notification. It's a lot more convenient to have your shopping-list on your arm rather than in your pocket.

☆ Best experience is with a wearable, but it works just fine without it as a regular note/todo application! ☆

• Typing a number? Push the number to the wearable and watch that while entering the number.

★ Permissions:
INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE:
This is so we can send crash logs and statistics to improve our app. We might add cloud support for notes in the future, so we need this permission to connect to the Internet.

VIBRATE
Some versions of Android could crash if we don't have this permission. So we need to ask for this one as well.

CAMERA & AUDIO RECORDING
This permission is needed for our image text recognition software. Please notice that all recognition is happening on the device and nothing is sent to the cloud.

Enjoy rich-text support including:
* Bold text
* Lists (both numbered and bullets)
* Checkboxes
* Underline text
* Italic text

All your existing notes will automatically be converted into the new format when you open them, so no action is needed on your part.

Furthermore, please notice that your notes will be converted to regular text when sent to your wearable - we're working on rich text support on the wearable device as well!
