About this app

A-EFIS (Android Efis) is a PFD(Primary Flight Display) application for fixed wing airplanes.

A-EFIS includes the following instruments:

- Attitude Indicator (AHRS)
- Slip indicator
- Magnetic compass(NEEDS CALIBRATION: Read the user's guide first)
- Turn coordinator
- True course indicator
- Ground speed, altitude and vario indicator based on GPS

Operation is based on native sensors. For correct operation, your device must equipped with
a 3-axis gyro, a 3-axis accelerometer, a magnetic compass and a GPS receiver.

Robust stochastic sensor fusion algorithms guarantee correct attitude indication in any condition.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF GYROS,ACCELEROMETERS AND GPS AREN'T AVAILABLE, ATTITUDE WON'T WORK AT ALL.

This is not a toy using only accelerometers for roll and pitch indication on the ground, but a full working aviation instrument.

FULL ADAHRS IN YOUR TABLET??? IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Limitations of the demo version:
-Time of operation 30mins
-During the operation you need to press OK for closing the random window which informs that this is a demo version
-no calibration coefficients saved (you need to calibrate the unit every time you use it).
-Ads

Please, do read the user's guide before using this demo. It can be downloaded from

New features in version 2
1. HSI can be displayed also in portrait mode. To switch it on or off both in portrait or landscape mode, tap for more than 2 seconds in the middle of the screen.
2. All units selected are the default units for the next flights.
3. Button “turn on coordinator” disappeared. To turn on coordinator just short tap in the middle of the screen with one finger. To turn off tap again. Here also applies the last selection as default.
4. If you have the pressure box or your device has barometric sensor, in pressure info, you can enter QNH in Kpa or inches Hg.
5. In the HSI window there is now TAS indication, which is operational if you have connected the external pressure box.
6. GPS coordinates you have 3 formats. Decimal, dms, dmm.
7. It is possible to use an external gps. Read user's guide.
8. If you have hsi on and set several waypoints, you can switch between these waypoints by sliding your finger from left to right where the lat and long coordinates are displayed.
9. In the middle of the HSI rose you can see one green arrow and a series of orange dots. The green arrow indicates the angle of your course from the desired. A part of this arrow is broken and moves on the left or the right of the arrow. This measure the distance of your course from the desired one. Each dot of the orange line is 2 miles out of course.
10. By short taping on the HSI rose, you can switch the indication from true track (red color) to magnetic heading (yellow).
11. By short tapping in the middle of the heading indication strip, on the top of the artificial horizon window you can switch the indication from true track (red color) to magnetic heading (white).
12. Changed demo policy.

New features

Fixed installation crash on some devices.
Fixed issue of roll indication during uncoordinated flight.
Improved compass calibration procedure.
Minor bugs fixed.
From V2.3 if gyros and accelerometers are not available artificial horizon doesn't work.
