About this app

Welcome to Umetrix Playback for Android devices.

IMPORTANT: Umetrix Playback users MUST purchase floating device licenses, which allow software activation and provide cloud services for sharing scripts across multiple devices and teams. Please contact Spirent (mobiledev@spirent.com) for further details.

Umetrix Playback is geared for mobile device test teams and provides easy scripting and automation for Android handsets:

• Simply record, drag and drop to create automated test scripts
• Easily capture and playback a series of mobile device user interactions
• Combine with Spirent’s Umetrix suite of QoE tools to assess voice, video, data or app quality of experience

Umetrix Playback is built with advanced automation capabilities such as image recognition, optical character recognition, and user interface element matching. This allows scripts to execute successfully even if icons are not in the same place or exactly alike for each device under test. With a simplified graphical interface and command structure, scripts can be created and modified with little or no programming knowledge. Plus, users can define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure parameters such as timings of user interactions and successful script execution.
