Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SecureNotes by Sound Data Limited on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Use SecureNotes to secure your private information or any details that you wish to keep secure from prying eyes. No more scraps of paper with personal data lying around for the wrong people to see. No worries if your phone gets lost or stolen, your notes will be safe.

Not many of us can remember all our bank account numbers, usernames, passwords and pin numbers. Even more difficult is trying to remember all our usernames and passwords for on-line accounts. Use SecureNotes to secure these details for you. Simply copy and paste or type them into a single note or multiple notes, and SecureNotes will do the rest. When you want to see your notes, simply use SecureNotes to display them.

SecureNotes uses a dual-layer of encryption so not even our support team can view your notes.

What can SecureNotes be used for.
SecureNotes encrypts notes containing information that you need to access or store on your phone, but that you don’t want others to be able to read. Information can be typed into the notes or copy and pasted from other documents. You can create as many notes as you wish, or simply make one note for all your information and notes. Only plain text can be encrypted. (Any photos or graphics are ignored.)

Create secure notes containing personal information like passwords and details of bank accounts, online accounts, software codes. Create 1 note or as many smaller notes as you wish. Encrypted notes can be copied to any media storage device. Share the notes via systems like DropBox.

Email encrypted notes to others. (The person receiving the note will need a copy of SecureNotes and the note's password details to be able to decrypt it.)

Compatibility.
SecureNotes is fully compatible with the encrypted notes and files created by SDL-Secure and the Windows PC based version of SDL-Secure. Notes and files can be exchanged between your phone and PC. The current version of SecureNotes is available in English, Afrikaans, German, French and Portuguese. Special characters used in Afrikaans, French, Portuguese and many other languages can be used in SecureNotes.
