It's a very good idea, but it's not useful because it can't measure below 50°C. I was ready to pay for it if it could measure below 50°C. I think it's because physics and chemical reasons, but still, it would be cool if it worked on lower temperatures too.

Cool app, it needs more machine learning and can only guess less than or greater than 50°C (not sure with he premium version) other than that, the app is cool that it uses machine learning! Hopefully this will be improved in the future.

Hoping for new apps from you! Although it is an entirely different app type compare to the past app you made, it is as amazing!

This is so rubbish, so many ppl say about how its good and that it can tell you the temperature of your phone, well it can hear your heart beat and your breath but some how a temperature doesnt come up. I didnt buy it but totally not worth your money. Maybe you can hear the kettle but defo not strong enough for a temperature. Calling it A.I more like Inverted. Asscrack

The things we can use machine learning for these days. Wow. Really good, too, agrees with my 4 thermometers

Cool usage of machine learning! Gives reasonable temperature estimates.

About this app

This app listens when you pour hot water into a cup and analyzes the pouring noise to estimate the water temperature.

The accuracy reaches ±4 degrees when tested under optimal conditions but is generally lower. The accuracy is higher at high temperatures and it can be useful for e.g. brewing different teas at their correct temperatures but it is not intended to be used for temperatures less than 50°C (122°F).

The app visualizes a probability distribution and gives an 80% confidence interval for the temperature that depends on the vessel, pouring technique, and background noise. The probability distribution has been verified on a wide range of setups, but still assumes a prior distribution of pouring setups.

How does it work?
The properties of water and air vary with temperature. This results in changes in how noise is generated from pouring water. This app uses a pre-trained machine learning model to analyze pouring noises to get an estimate of the temperature. The longer time you pour, the more noise it receives, and it can give better estimates.

New features

Updated recommended pouring height and added support email.
