Full-featured remote control with the ability to send pictures, music and video from your phone directly to the TV. Get this app while you can because Samsung has replaced it with the SmartThings app which is crippled and cannot send pictures, music or video from your phone to the TV. The SmartThings app can't even turn the TV on when it's off.

I was hugely satisfied with this app, but like so many other users, all of a sudden it will not connect to the TV. both TV and device are Samsung Smart devices. Frustrating since the original remote has been lost. UPDATE....8/18/20 Now it just crashes when I try launching. I've done all of the "uninstall/reinstall" etc. basic stuff tech support always says to do. Still just crashes everytime.

This app couldn't even find my Samsung smart TV in order to cast. I was looking for a way to watch HBO Max since Samsung's firmware only supports HBO on 2016 or newer models, and mine is a 2015. Samsung says it's HBO, HBO says it's Samsung, and Hulu says get a Chromecast...Firestick says "NO! NO HBO for you!" And I'm over here wondering why I'm spending this money. Boooo Samsung....I'll go with LG and a Chromecast next time.

Really need this app to be up and running even after October. That's because we're all heavily dependant on this app for using it as remote control. If not please let us know the alternative. The newly launched "Smart Things" doesn't recognize my TV F7500.. Hence this is a must required.

Have been using the app happily for years. It's not amazing but does the job perfectly well. Would have been happy to give 4 stars. But now Samsung are pulling a perfectly viable app and leaving users of older TV's with no way to control them from phones (if they change phones or need to re-download). Sucky & inconsiderate service which mostly seems aimed at pushing owners towards buying new TV's.

Default samsung tv smart remotes are known for being cheaply constructed and losing functionality. The up button doesn't work on my physical remote. This app though? The up button doesn't work either. Lol. What a joke. Service is ending in October. As if I needed any more reasons to look for another brand.
