Even after adding the air conditioner, it stills keeps searching every single time I launch the app. It requires access for phone calls, my contacts etc. For an air conditioner app??? Timer setting doesn't work, app keeps crashing. Honestly it's just easier to use the remote you get with the device unless you *really* want to be able to control it when not at home EDIT (8-Oct-2020) Timer issue seems resolved in latest update, can now access it.

LE: latest udate only translates login error meesage from Koreean to English? Old text: What the f..k???!!! In home function stoped working many years ago - does not discover the AC, now, after latest Android update and security policy updates, out of home stopped as well. I can no longer connect with Samsung account. Older ACs are not supported by SmartThings...so how are we going to use AC wifi function? Awkward enough the app works flawlessly on an iPhone.

This was the only app that worked! We sent lots of money one of the reasons we did was the Wifi capability. You make new app that won't work with this unit. Then you mess with this app so it also won't work with the unit i own. If this is not corrected i will need to stop buying Samsung. Thinking my next air conditioner will be Panasonic.

Useless! Never used to have a problem until the last 12 months. I can only ever access the app via out of home and a few days ago that stopped also and when clicking on out of home, Chinese symbols appeared and never opened! I'm sure after uninstalling and reinstalling it'll take forever to find the device again just like it did last time. Please update and make it effortless to use! Why does the app need access to my contacts and photos etc also????

■ Introduction
You can control your Samsung Smart Air Conditioner with this application. You never have to worry that you accidently left the air conditioner on, since you can easily turn it off from outside the house with your smart device. Furthermore, you can turn it on before you arrive so you always enter a cool house.
It can be used only on models that have been applied WIFI in Room Air Conditioner model.
The app may not operate normally according to the type of mobile device and the operating system version, and the indoor control function may not operate from the Android 10 version or later.


This service needs access permissions for the following:

- Location: Required to search for nearby air conditioner devices
- Phone: For the purpose of recognizing the unique device information when registering for the service.
- Storage: Required to save settings and other miscellaneous information
- Contacts: Registered Samsung Account information will be used to provide services that require account linking
