Just dont understand, why do you need so many sketchy permissions for? Can you explain why you need full access to my network and wifi connection info? And also system config access?? Explain? because its a rotate app not a bank or IT support app!!!? So why the excessive accesses?

Nice but have some bugs. I'm on Xiaomi redmi note 4x - Android 7. After I installed this app, MIUI9 locking screen rotation button turns on, every now and then by itself. It can be turnd off but after some time it goes on again. I had no this problem before Smart Rotate installation. Beside that annoying detail, it works as it should... rotates screen for selected apps.

The app is generally ok, but the per app feature doesn't seem to be working. Definitely not working on OnePlus Launcher & YouTube apps. The "auto rotate portrait mode' doesn't work on my OnePlus 5 either. In addition, this app is very much missing a tile with a 'tap to toggle the next rotation' mode and an in-app setting to choose which modes to include/exclude from the tile mode-rotation. Or *at the very least* the app is missing an internal app-activity to toggle the 'show notification' setting on&off. In other words, this is a good app, but as d yet it is somewhat incomplete and the most appealing features don't work. Also... Someone asked here about this strange configuration access permission you ask for, and you have yet to explain why you need that. We get that you need network permissions for ads, but why the config permission?

I've tried many alternatives but I keep coming back to Smart Rotate. It's the only one that lets me auto-rotate the lock screen so I can have my charger and headphones plugged in to my s8 while I'm in bed without bending the wires when I rest it on my chest. I had it on my OnePlus One, and it would often lose it's setting. I keep it on auto always, but would have to use the status bar icons to set it again every now and then. We'll see if the s8 keeps the settings. S8 Update: No ... No it does not

Resource hog, uses a lot of RAM for an autorotate app. Developer has acknowledged my feedback, waiting for a response before I adjust my review

About this app

Smart Rotate is a screen rotation control app that will give you full control of your screen. You can easily rotate and lock your screen orientation via the buttons on notification panel or the widget. You can also set up smart rotation events.

Modes of rotation:

•Forced(locked) Mode
In this mode you can lock your screen to any orientation regardless of the current running app. It is great but it may cause some apps not to display properly.

•Normal(unlocked) Mode
In this mode your screen orientation will be restricted by the current running app. The app can rotate the screen only if the running app allows it, otherwise it stays as it is.

Per App Rotation
Lock your screen to any orientation when a specific app launched. The screen will rotate to the previous orientation when you go back to home screen unless you rotate it manually or interrupted by another auto-rotate feature.

Headset
Lock your screen to any orientation when headset is plugged in. The screen will return back to the previous orientation when headset is plugged out unless you rotate it manually or interrupted by another auto-rotate feature.

On Power
Lock your screen to any orientation when your device is plugged in. When the device is removed from charger it will return back to the previous orientation unless you rotate it manually or interrupted by another auto-rotate feature.

Pricing
To configure more than 2 apps with Per App Rotation feature, you will need to upgrade to premium version. If you upgrade to premium version, you won't see the ads in the app in addition to unlock this limitation. All other features are free without a limit.

This app uses Accessibility services.

This is necessary to get notified when an application is launched. This information is only being used for "Per App Rotation" feature. If the launched app is a configured application in Per App settings, the app rotates the screen.
