Hi developer, Thank you for developing such a good app. Simple to use although only direct USB connection available now. I am really considering to buy the licence for normal connection after my trial ended. However, right now, the connection didn't work. After my network service provider said I have reached the 100% quota, suddenly the I don't have any Internet anymore on my laptop. I tried to reconnect and restart my phone but after 2-3 minutes the connection will lost. Please help.

Seriously a game changer if you're dependent on mobile data for you home's internet. I used PDAnet for years and it was decent but it had a few hiccups with certain services (Netflix, PSN) and the USB tethering speed itself was oddly slower than the WiFi tether. This does away with all of that. No more random disconnects when accessing specific apps PLUS my USB tethering speed nearly doubled from what it was with PDAnet. Last but not least, the developer is super helpful/involved with maintaining the app, i.e. I emailed them about a specific issue I was having with ICS settings (that has always been an issue in Windows 10) and it was completely fixed a few hours later. Unbelievably useful app for those in my situation (i.e. living in a non-high speed area). Reminder though for avoiding your hotspot data cap: be sure (in the phone app) to go to Settings > Advanced tab > User agent > turn on Set user agent. I also turn off IPv6 on both ends of the app but that may or may not be relevant to your situation

It works great for 4GLTE , but it nots using my 5G connection. My ping is higher as well on 4G. When downloading I get 110Mbps where I plug my phone in using usb tethering hotspot my speeds are 400Mbps . Also, my ping is 120ms higher with 4G than 5G. When using tethering without your app using my hotspot usb data I get 400Mbs.

Very fast - if you have been checking out different tether apps -- THIS IS THE ONE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. Works great on Android 8 (old Moto G5 and LINUX 20.10 running client ) ... BT & WIFI tether can not match this speed!!! Also, I had SSH connection up for 3 or 4 hrs (IDLE) did not drop! Later version of Android mileage might vary - but you have 3 days to test!!!

I have never had such good support from any app whether it was paid for or not. I was having some pretty frustrating issues and I received an email from the publisher and all I have to say is top notch customer service. This person actually cares what people think about the app and whether or not it works. After following some instructions after reading some testing this person fixed my issue perfectly I couldn't be happier!

It seems to be bug free. It warns of low device memory even when it's not it seems. Also you can't browse any local files or on sdcard while connected to the phone.. which means you have to disconnect and then reconnect everytime which kind of sucks but other than that it is reliable and has decent speed it seems.

About this app

Tetrd is a simple tool that allows you to share your internet connection from your device to your PC and vice versa through a USB cable.

You can try it free for three days! When your free trial ends, you can purchase Tether Pro for unlimited tethering, Reverse Tether Pro for unlimited reverse tethering, or Universal Tether Pro to get both at a discounted price.

Tethering

Tethering allows you to share your device's wifi or mobile internet connection with your PC. You can use this if your carrier or data plan doesn't allow you to enable the built-in tethering feature of your device. Or if you have an unlimited data plan, but your carrier caps your hotspot/tethering usage to a certain amount, say 7GB.

Reverse Tethering

Reverse tethering allows you to share your computer's internet connection with your device. Use this if you're having issues with your device's wifi connection such as unstable ping or disconnections especially when playing games and your PC is connected to the internet via an ethernet cable. It can also be used in situations where wired internet is the only available option.

Note: Some apps only check for wifi or cellular connectivity and will not have internet access when reverse tethering.

Additional Features

• No root required
• No USB debugging required (except on Windows)
• Fast link speed (200Mbps+ on some devices)
• Multiple devices can be reverse-tethered simultaneously
• Local network (see server app settings)
• Auto-connect (see app settings)
• Supports ICMP echo/ping (requires Android 6+)
• Configurable network settings

VPN Usage

The app creates a local VPN so that your device can send data to your computer via USB. This is required when reverse tethering and optional when tethering. When tethering, a local VPN will only be created if you enable the "Local network" setting in the server application's network settings. This allows you to access servers (e.g. FTP server) in your PC from your device. Note that the app doesn't use, collect, or share any data that goes through the VPN. For more information, please visit the app's privacy policy at https://tetrd.app/privacy.
