To everyone saying that it doesn't appear to work/does nothing no matter how hard you press: the app requires a barometer sensor in order to work. NOT ALL Android devices will have this. Most cheaper ones won't. I just tried it on a couple phones that do not have one, and the app does not give any warning/indication about this. To the developer: the idea behind this is genius, I would just suggest putting in a barometer check; I'm guessing this could be done through some kind of API check?

Each sensor and measure device has its own error, even the most expensive ones. Therefore, it makes no sense to be surprised that your waterproof smartphone is shown as not waterproof. Maybe it's really not waterproof in some locations. But in 99% of cases this application works! I'm pleased, thanks to developer!

I was using a different app to do a manual barometer check when I had my Pixel 5's screen replaced, to make sure they has sealed it correctly. An app that simply tells you what to do and tells you the result is a great idea for those who don't want to mess around installing other tools. Nice work :) (tried with sim tray in place and then ejected and it gave the expected results.)

The fact that this even exists is an attestment to the ingenuity that some people have. Sure, it requires your phone to have a barometer, which may be left out on older or cheaper phones, but then again, why would you be testing it on devices that most likely don't have water protection? Then there's also the issue that not all phones are made equal: the method that works on one phone might not work on another. But when it works, it works, and it's clear to me that this app goes beyond others.

Didn't work on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It shows my phone may not be water resistant but I still use it during heavy downpours and have not faced any issues yet. I guess the app needs a little work here and there but overall a great concept so still rating it 4 stars. Will keep watch for future updates.

Genuinely a very brilliant and simple app, have to hand it to the developer for using the barometer in such a smart way. Tested a Galaxy S10+ (intact) Tested a Pixel 2 xl that was dropped and damaged and said it was not intact. Its not just looking up the device model, it's a real test.

About this app

This app will help you test whether the IP67/IP68 water resistance seals on your phone are still intact by using the barometer built in to your phone. Do note that the seals can become compromised with drops and device aging - keep your phone away from all liquids!

Note: If your phone does not have a built-in barometer, it cannot be supported. Having a barometer built-in to the phone is required for the core functionality of this app, and no app can install physically missing hardware.

New features

- Improved baseline measurement on Pixel 6 / Pixel 6 Pro devices.
- Upgraded APIs to target Android 12
