Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Signal Monitor on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

Bad coverage or signal loss can be encountered many times in our daily life. Sometimes this happens only on dedicated spots.

Signal Monitor enables you to track the quality of your network signal and gives you detailed insights.
You can easily track your walk, when cycling around or when you are going by bus, train, car,... - Signal Monitor is prepared for all these scenarios.

The measured track can be analyzed in detail afterwards. You get full access to the available radio access type (2G / 3G / 4G), your signal level and can check each sample which was taken.
All this data is visualized on a view coordinating a map and a diagram displaying you the signal level history of your track. You can also access Cell-IDs, LACs and MCC and MNC of each sample.

New features

We prepared Signal Monitor to follow the latest Google Play requirements: App permissions are now handled within the app. We also improved the handling of longer measurements tracks (above 4 hours) and the naming and renaming of such.
