This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Prothelis on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Functionality is great but accuracy not so good, especially when plotting the GeoFence as it not working well in smaller properties. GeoFence requires allot more space. This needs some work and therfore the 3* rating. Love the fact that one can trigger the Led light on the device remotely via the app. It would have been nice if one could also remotely activate a sound to track your pets easier. Especially cats as they move very quietly. Maybe something to consider with the next upgrade.

Device tracking is accurate and works well. Overall, I am happy with my GPS Tracker. I would prefer to be added an option for updating GPS position signal every 2 seconds for easier tracking of my dog when I am close to it. This will also improve Geofence function. Another idea is to be added OFF function on software to preserve battery life. Device can be ON when placed on charger.

I set the device to signal every 10 second and after 2 hours it is still on the same position as yesterday. Say that "device not sincronised". In this manner you can lost your dog for good. I do not know why am I paying a fee every month...

Does the job of showing the tracking of my dog. 5 second or less interval option would be good...my Beagle runs fast.

The Prothelis app enables you to have any number of GPS trackers in view. See where the GPS trackers are at the moment, or view the history to get an overview of how your GPS tracker has moved.

Geofences (virtual fences)
You can set up geofences (virtual fences) in the Prothelis app. These enable you to be notified when your GPS tracker enters or leaves this area.

Top speed
Let the speed of your GPS tracker be monitored and set a maximum permitted speed for your GPS tracker via the app. If this is exceeded you will be informed.

Temperature warning
With the help of the temperature warning, you can set a temperature range within the Prothelis app that the GPS tracker must not exceed or fall below.

Push notification and phone call
When events occur, you will receive a push message. You can also use our notification service to get information over the phone.
