I've been using this for over a year now, and it's simply the best volume controlling experience that I could wish for.

I have found a new issue. Would love to see an option to have the volume slider always in the same position on the screen regardless of orientation. Android Pie places the slider next to the hardware buttons. I did the same, but the slider moves when I rotate the screen. There is an issue where using this means you can't control Chromecast volume. Other than that, app seems to work wonders for me.

When it works (rarely), it's awesome, but there are two serious bugs for me (on galaxy note8). 1. After a while, the mapping of the volume keys reverts to Samsung's default volume slider. Restarting the accessibility service does not fix it - the only fix is to restart the phone. This looks like it could be fixed by changing a system setting (though I have already excluded the app from battery optimisation). 2. After some time, the "slide to show" feature interferes with the Samsung edge panel and stops it from reacting. This is a strange one, because it also only happens after some time. Restarting the accessibility service temporarily fixes this one. Unfortunately, these bugs render the app unusable for me when they occur at the same time. I have not been able to manually reproduce them. Deducted another star because it happens more than daily now and there has been no fix.

Decent app and it does what it advertises. But I'd like to see a few features added: 1. Root (preferably even Xposed) integration to show over the lockscreen. 2. Ability to hide certain elements of the HUD, like maybe the sound profile switch and the expand button (for people that only use one channel) 3. Change font on the Beta theme. It's currently locked to Google Sans. 4. Option to move the Volume HUD to the top and bottom of the screen too. But overall, money well spent. Great job, dev.

Latest version brings many options. But the issue of cycling through ring-->vibrate-->silent-->ring modes through the app minimizes the notification volume, and doesn't set it back to its original level (only ringtone volume sets back to original level). Also, cannot turn on the vibration to show option. This was after a clean install (post an uninstall, as recommended). Also still crashes my phone.

Used the regular version for more than a month and switch to the Pro version for the extra features and to support the developer. Update: there's issue with the appearance of the slide when pressing low volume key, and many times it does not work at all!

About this app

VolumePie Pro allows users to disable the default popup to change volume media on the top of the screen in favor of a side popup.

- Customize the slider choosing between many colors.
- Use three different style, from Developer Preview, Pixel and Default.
- Blacklist feature to not show VolumePie on certain apps.
- Customize position bewteen 6 choices.
- Swipe to Show Volume slider
- Always Expanded Mode
- Animation Speed.

VolumePie Pro uses the minimal possible Accessibility Service configuration to listen to volume keys to launch the side popup and does not observe any user action or text that they type; however this privilege is mandatory for all accessibility services, but VolumePie Pro disregards any events the system does send, except for those mentioned that anyway are not recorded.
