This app has been incredibly helpful to me during these uncertain times. Please take note that after your 1 week free trial, if you do not meet the requirements for financial help, it charges you the Full Cost for the month upfront, you cant just pay for each session. This isnt a bad thing but something to be aware of. I still highly reccomend this app for accessability and flexibillity.

Good, but buggy. Hard not to accidentally hit emojis because it makes the keyboard smaller. Then it comes up with a message saying you can't send emojis. It's more expensive than talkspace, but the basic plan seems to allow a weekly live chat or video session, which you have to pay more for with talkspace. It also costs more than talkspace and more than advertised, but if you are low income, you can get a discount which you have to reapply for every three or four months.

I was forced into counselling and now I am choosing to respond as if my life matters to me today. I feel my counsler is addressing my needs appropriately!!

Pride Counseling is one of many "brands" of the same company. I used them for a few months, and my counselor was nice, but not very helpful. Overall, I found her to be less engaged than my previous in-person therapist. Also, you have to be careful. They use the term "counselor" because anyone can be a counselor. There's no regulations on what training is required to be a counselor. Many of them are actually licensed therapists, but not all of them. Since this is an app review, I should at least talk about the technology. Technically, this app is poorly done. The video and phone calls are very tempermental. Their financial aid system is a scam. There's no financial aid whatosever. It's just an offer of a miniscule discount after taking your personal information for their own data exploitation. Overall, I found virtual therapy to be less effective and more expensive. It would be better to find a real, independent therapist who is setup to give virtual visits through their own system.

Talking to a therapist every day kinda slaps ngl.

Put your money to Better Use. I loved the concept, but experience was bad. My initial counsellor was great but completely booked solid. Her availability was about once a week, her text responses were about 1x per day. Technical issues with video and the phone calls didn't work. We tried multiple times. Customer service was subpar and takes a business day to reply. This service could work for you, just know what you're paying for. It's an expensive investment to find out. App has a nice layout .
