Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Welinda on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

This app aims at bringing the larger society together in the fight against gender based violence.
It is build with sections to handle various scenarios that individuals go through, but the core being information, the community behind its development strongly believes that if one has information pertaining their rights and ways through which the vulnerable groups can use to escape the menace, then there is a better chance that the violence against all genders and other forms can be prevented and handled before they can even occur.

Furthermore, It also provides the platform for victims to share their experiences and get that inner healing, and also enable the silent parties to get the encouragement that there is still a better life regardless of what has happened in the past.

By also providing anonymity in the chat platform, it is much easier to have individuals opening up knowing that their identity remains private, but through sharing and encouraging others; healing is assured to those affected.

The idea behind this app was inspired by the theme for International Women’s Day (8 March) in 2019 : “Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change”.
