About this app

El presente aplicativo está diseñado como una ayuda para el navegante deportivo que transita los espejos de agua bajo jurisdicción de la Prefectura Naval Argentina, no siendo apto como instrumento de navegación. Este sistema ofrece información sobre, el estado de los puertos, fronteras, alturas de ríos e historial de sus mediciones, novedades, boletín hidrometeorológico, avisos e información útil sobre trámites y la ubicación distintas sedes de la PNA. Asimismo, brinda información de las banderas del código internacional de señales, nudos, código Morse, tipos de nubes y olas.
Una de sus principales características, es la posibilidad de que todo nauta deportivo cuente en su dispositivo con un acceso al Sistema de Identificación Automática de buques (AIS), el dispositivo devolverá la información, pero no forma parte del AIS, teniendo en cuenta que lo hace a través de una red de datos independiente.
Esta novedad, especialmente pensada para quienes realicen actividades náuticas recreativas, permite ubicar embarcaciones en tiempo real, identificar su posición y comunicarse directamente a la línea 106 para informar una emergencia náutica, utilizando la cobertura de la red de telefonía.
