Update 09/2020 Still not fixed. Previous: Unusable after in App Purchase. Was a 5 star app which I have used for years. I recently made an in app purchase of the Camera + Relative Angle Package to support the developer despite not really needing the additional features. A big mistake - the centre of the screen is now blocked by a dark overlay whenever I try to use the app. Developer has not responded to my email seeking assistance. No way to revert to the free working version.

Just downloaded this to assist in setting up my astrophotography tripod. Being level is critical being able to track stars or other astronomical targets. Using Clinometer, the first night I went to setup my rig, it worked as described using the "Bubble Level." After leveling, I was the able to use the Clinometer to set the angle to match my latitude. This made finding Polaris much easier, as I just needed to adjust the star tracker right or left, panning to find and align.

Chose this over bubble level and smart protractor apps. Downloaded all 3 due to being over a million downloads and the other IMO don't have good user interface as this one. I like the little windows that get you closer to the angle that you,re hunting for. I like that it has the bubble feature as well when you lay the device flat on a table. I'm going to use this to set the differential pinion angle of my Jeep so I can get the correct caster with new adjustable control arms.

Not happy about this app using my camera when I haven't used it in weeks. Other than that a great app. 7-13-2020 app tried to use my camera again :(

I use it for trail building. I've compared to a real clinometer and it seems accurate. Using the camera it's quite difficult to spot your waypoint on the screen, this could be improved by zooming in more and lightning the image.

The thing works OK, but in the pictures for the description, it shows a bubble level (the one with the 45 on it) as well as the 360 degree level. The bubble one shows up randomly for a second or two, then leaves. I can't figure out how to set it to stay on. The rest of the app is fine and easy to use, but I knocked off two start for this problem and because I wrote the developer twice over two weeks and received no reply. Truthfully, when a developer wants money for ads to leave, that is fine & good- But if they don't reply to questions after they have your cash, that is no good. I took it off the phone. PS: If you feel the level is not accurate, it is most likely not the app's fault. It is more likely your phone's motion sensor. Try using the phone's calibration routine & the app's.
