I like this app. It almost has the ability to scroll menu drop down tabs on Android! Please let me know if I missed that setting and it's an easy 5 star app to me. Great idea!

Great and amazing app. Please add the feature to place it behind the keyboard. Also to be able to hide the widget in some apps. Other than that, I am really pleased with it.

About this app

Are you having difficulties doing the repeating swipe gestures necessary for browsing through menus or web pages, and for reading e-books or documents? Then let Easy Scroll help you! Easy Scroll introduces automatic scrolling in any app - easily controllable via a floating widget on your screen. This means: no more repeated swiping - just do a short swipe on the floating widget once, and the content of your screen will scroll automatically in the desired direction. Tap the widget again to end scrolling...

As a special feature, Easy Scroll offers scrolling at a slow speed by doing a slow swipe on the widget, and scrolling faster by doing a regular swipe. What's more, Easy Scroll lets you do a page scroll at a simple tap of the widget. Easy Scroll also offers horizontal scrolling, as well as timed page scroll: let Easy Scroll repeat a page scroll after a selected time!

PLEASE NOTE: Easy Scroll performs scrolling by doing an automated swipe gesture on behalf of the user. For technical reasons, such automated scrolling cannot be as smooth as manual scrolling. Accordingly, the scrolling speeds Easy Scroll offers are not designed for reading along while scrolling, but for browsing through menus at medium speed, as well as for swift scrolling on after you are done reading a page of text.

SETUP: Tap "Enable Easy Scroll", and follow the instructions to enable the accessibility service. Next, tap "Enable floating widget". Follow the instructions to grant Easy Scroll the necessary permission. Finally, tap "Apps to include" to select apps from a list.

USAGE: To re-position the floating widget, do a long press on it, and move it to the desired position while keeping the finger down. To hide the widget, swipe it towards the nearest (left or right) side of the screen. It will be moved to the left or right margin. (You may have to swipe slowly if the widget is close to the margin.) To bring it back, swipe inwards on it from the margin. To start scrolling down, do a swipe down gesture on the widget. To stop scrolling, tap on it. To start scrolling up, do a swipe up gesture on the widget. You can select the speed of automatic scrolling in "Normal scrolling speed".

- Two-speed scrolling control: choose a value in "Slow scrolling speed". Now, when you do a "slow swipe" (i.e. a swipe motion lasting more than 1/2 second) on the widget, scrolling will be performed at this speed. (We recommend selecting a higher value for the normal speed in this case.)
- Page scroll: First, select a value in "Page scroll". Now, when you do a tap on the upper or lower part of the widget, there will be a fast scroll of the selected length in that direction.
- Timed page scroll: First, select a value in "Timed page scroll". A tap on the upper or lower part of the widget will start the timer (indicated by a dot). After the selected time, there will be a page scroll of the length selected in "Page scroll" (or a horizontal scroll if the widget was switched to horizontal scrolling). Tap the widget again to end timed scroll.
- Horizontal scrolling: To initiate horizontal scrolling, do a swipe on the widget away from the margin. Now, a normal up/down swipe on the widget will trigger a left/right page scroll.

HINT: A safe way to do the "slow swipe" is to do a regular swipe, and then leave the finger on the display just a second longer...

This app uses Accessibility services.

NOTE: In those apps (or web pages) that are slow to refresh their content while scrolling, there can be a perceptible lag in executing the scroll (just as there would be with regular finger scrolling).
