I'm using the V10 as a metronome and play along source for learning drum covers (using Google Play Music). I didn't think it sounded any better than my Pixel 2 XL (actually sounded exactly the same) which prompted me to research why the HiFi DAC didn't seem to be kicking in. A discussion on Head-Fi lead me to download this app. Wow - what a difference! I'm using Shure SCL5's with it and the sound is crystal clear, cymbals sound great. The soundstage is wider and I can hear individual instruments better. I've been listening mostly to rock and find with the HiFi DAC it's less fatiguing.

It doesn't work on the more powerful V20 DAC, I wanted to enable the higher impedance for my f4100 iem. When the dac turn on usually there is a delay and a shift in sound but here the app do nothing. There is a dac enforcer elsewhere to try but it require root access.

One of the best apps ever. It works on virtually every phone I've owned, not just on the V10. I'm using this app on the 2018 J7, and the difference with this enabled is amazing. Don't know how, but I'm thrilled. Thanks Phascinate!
