This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing NMEA Tools Pro on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

It works. But I expected timestamps at the beginning of each line. This information is available, according to documentation to OnNmeaListener interface and such feature will significantly simplify post-prpcessing.

About this app

The purpose NMEA Tools is to log your RAW GPS information (NMEA sentences) to a file on your SD card. Also, it can parse a NMEA file.

* Modify/delete SD card contents is used to write NMEA file to SD card

* Prevent phone from sleeping is used to keep the screen on for user taking lap


How to use the app ?
Press top left "GPS" icon to enable GPS.
Press "Log" button to start logging NMEA data. To stop logging, press the "Log" button again
Press "Save" icon to save the logging data to NMEA file
