If anyone is wondering how to get the notifications on the band to buzz, just remember to select "both" when it asks you if you want Message/ Dialog/ Both. This will buzz as well as it in the notification tile to read later.

Very nice Tasker plugin. Supports not only triggering tasks from the Band, but also sending notifications to it. I get too much email to always buzz the Band, so this was perfect for setting up custom email alerts for only certain senders. Couldn't use email notifications on the Band without this. Thank you so much for such a great app!

About this app

Band for Tasker is a plugin for workflow & automation apps like Tasker, Locale, Automate, and others. With it, you can create custom buttons on your Microsoft Band to launch tasks on your phone. You can also create actions on your phone that deliver dialogs and messages to your Band delivering information and alerts from the workflows & rules that you build.

Band for Tasker is not a stand-alone application. It can only be used as a plugin for Tasker, Locale, Automate, or other compatible applications.

Band for Tasker supports the variable substitution feature of Tasker, making it easier to send customized information to the Band in your notification title and body.

Here are some simple examples of what you can do with Band for Tasker:

* A button to send an "On my way" text to your spouse.
* Build a camera remote control button
* A pair of buttons to turn your phone's "Do not disturb" feature on and off.
* A "find my phone" feature with buttons to start/stop an audible alarm on your phone
* A pair of buttons to start & stop audio recording on your phone
* Send a notification to your band when your phone's battery level drops below a threshold.

New features

Updated the plugin with the latest Microsoft Band SDK. This allows the plugin to create tiles using the new upper limit of 20 (was 13).
