This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Paralenz on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Pretty much a useless app, doesn't download dives most of the time, I tried all the suggestions I could find with very little success. It really is super frustrating. The developers of this camera and app may have had the best of intentions, but have made a really poor go of actual functionality.

Rental experience from a dive shop: every step of the process was broken. Was charged twice due to an app crash on payment authorization. After returning the camera, failure of the docking station lost all the footage, didn't get any help from company for either issue until I complained through dive shop. 0/5 would never ever rent again. But the camera is good for offline use.

The app is not optimized for my android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+). The screen does not fit, there fore I cannot do the things I need to do in order to download the video from my camera. I have to go to my phone, which does not have the memory space my tablet has. I'd like to be able to download on my tablet and then eidt the video. Paralenz has to fix this.

Camera is fantastic. However, importing dives runs internal phone storage to zero. Cannot move files to SD card on app.

This app gets better each time. Will you please make it possible to update the time and date on the camera through the app.

Beyond belief terrible. The old app wasn't perfect but it at was at least possible to play videos. Each video now shows controls for a second then gone and I can't select it. So much more wrong but that's what pushed me over the edge. 33 years of writing software and I've never seen anything this bad released. Old app was so so much better 😢 They'll fix it tho!
