Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Nevolution on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

Hoped for a cleaner way to manage notifications. It does say that "Nevolution is ready", but there's no way to force it to enhance my notifications or at least show them in a separate frame, nothing, notifications remain unchanged even when I add all apps from its internal lists. It doesn't check whether or not the apps are already added, so I can add them again & again. Neither reinstalling this nor installing the "extension" app changed anything. It's unfinished & not user-friendly.

No Nevolution app icon for launcher. Need to go to Play Store, search for Nevolution, and launch it from there. Once I added rules for a couple of apps, I couldn't figure out any way to add more. It's got potential, but the unconventional app interface really isn't working. The number of reviews complaining about no launcher icon proves that. PLEASE, go to a standard launched-app interface containing a list of monitored apps.

sounded intriguing, but I can't use WeChat and I can't see what this actually does otherwise. that interface from the screenshots are nowhere to be found. is it really of any use?!

Please add check boxes for adding multiple apps at once for notification keeper plugin. It's annoying to add 1 by 1

Done everything but not working well on Android 9, the long keep (?) function disappeared after a moment, not showing anymore even reboot the phone.

Very cool and useful app that shows off the notification area's features that are rarely taken advantage of. Just drag its individual notifications down to expand them and tap to toggle settings. Dismiss when done and it's all set up.

About this app

Nevolution is an open platform for Android to evolve the notification experience of existing apps, in a creative developer-independent way via community-driven plug-ins, without the involvement of the original app developer.

Android supports highly rich notification experience, and the feature set expanded in almost every major Android versions. Unfortunately, most apps only use a small set of limited capabilities of notification, rendering them less elegant and even ugly on your modern Android devices.

If you use an Android Wear smart watch or Android Auto powered car, it's extremely disappointed that probably most of your favorite apps do not work on them.

We are not asking any more, but showing them the right way to build better experience, with the efforts from Nevolution community.

Limitations

* Notification sound and vibration may be interrupted early. A solution is being worked on.
* Before Android 6.0, due to platform limitation, the status-bar icon of the some notifications can not be kept if they are evolved.
* Evolved notifications are not automatically removed by the originating app (e.g. when app is opened). A possible solution is being evaluated.
