My Note10+ battery was starting to drain pretty fast. I checked AccuBattery, and it said it was only dozing less than 30% of the time my screen was off! After installing and setting this up, it's back to 80%+ dozing time, and my battery lasts longer than 42 hours on standby again (as a Note10+ *should*). Thanks!

I've been following this for years. I didn't really need it with root, but the advances you've made for the unrootable are remarkable. I especially like the way it hides the screen and goes through the tedious labor of all that clicking for you. Now all I need is a macro or script or something to access Greenify that will click on all the things that don't hibernate FOR NO REASON, then click on the hibernate button for me. Asking too much?

I have been using Greenify for years now and it has saved me so many times when I am out and about by saving battery for me. One thing to note is that it is not for those who don't know what they are doing. With that said, Greenify should include more instructions and short explanations(such as the meaning of backgroud-free). A lot of bad reviews are from people who don't know how it works and don't know it's limitations.

Love this app. Been using it for a good long while. The only criticism I have is that it also shuts down my Spotify as soon as I put my phone to sleep. Please patch this (basically look for any active running music app and don't shut it down), and I will redownload and give this 5 stars. Thx! Oh, and I've tried to turn off Spotify as a greenified app, but it still shutdown.

About this app

Featured as Lifehacker's Top 1 Utility in 2013 Best Android Apps (http://goo.gl/1VMwnE), Android Authority's Top 3 Best Root Apps (http://goo.gl/g0L0qZ).

"Aggressive Doze" and "Doze on the Go" to maximize the battery saving on Android 6+, even without root! (details explained in settings)

Never should your phone or tablet become slower and battery hungrier after lots of apps installed. With Greenify, your device can run almost as smoothly and lastingly as it did the first day you had it!

Greenify help you identify and put the misbehaving apps into hibernation when you are not actively using them, to stop them from lagging your device or leeching the battery, in a unique way! They can do nothing without explicit launch by you or other apps, while still preserving full functionality when running in foreground.

Please report bugs in the XDA forum (http://goo.gl/ZuLDnE) or G+ community (http://goo.gl/MoszF).

Greenify NEVER EVER collects your personal data despite the capability of accessibility service, it just takes advantage of it to automate the hibernation procedure.

IMPORTANT: Greenifying an app implies that you are aware that all the background functionality (service, periodic task, event receiver, alarm, widget update, push message) of this app will become out of service during the hibernation except when you are using this app.

NEVER greenify alarm clock apps, instant messaging apps unless you don't rely on them. Please do verify the impact of greenified apps on which you heavily rely.

Note: Greenify does need background running services for auto-hibernation to work. It is designed and implemented in extremely lightweight and nearly zero CPU and battery consumption.

=== PERMISSIONS ===

DEVICE ADMIN: This app uses administrator privilege to turn off the screen immediately after automated hibernation on non-root devices. This permission will be requested explicitly for your consent only if required.
DRAW OVER OTHER APP: To dim the screen during automatic hibernation when the screen is expected to be off.
DISABLE SCREEN LOCK & BIND ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE: For automatic hibernation to work on non-root devices.
GET ACCOUNTS & WRITE SYNC SETTINGS: Control the account sync of apps if its sync task is too frequent.

This app uses Accessibility services, to automate the hibernation procedure.

New features

NEW: Restrict the ability of selected app to run as foreground, to transform it to background-free. For non-root device, it requires Island with God mode activated. (Android 9+)
Wake-up tracker and cut-off now works for apps in Island and compatible with Android 10.
App analyzer is improved with foreground service detection and other minor tweaks.
Fixed "Hibernate and Sleep" shortcut when only apps in Island are pending.
