The app doesn't actually provide a different volume level for media and the Assistant voice. It merely toggles the volume automatically when activating the Assistant. The problem with that is that you can hear it being toggled up and down; depending on your settings, you may experience a momentary deafening noise, especially when using a Bluetooth device. It's clunky and potentially painful to the ears. Cool idea, but very roughly executed. Sorry, developer!

Works, but very buggy on s9. If you mistakenly press volume down while the google assistant is talking, it will automatically lower down the volume of assistant to the percentage of your media volume, a.k.a. it will switch to media volume. Also, the biggest thing, it doesnt work when the screen is locked; The Google assistant will be as quiet as what you set your media volume to.

Used to work well enough, but seems like something has changed as of Android 10 and it's no longer working.

Just purchased, but so far working exactly as I hoped on a Note 9! Easy to use and set up, and does exactly as advertised; cranks the volume up when using or addressing the Assistant only, even when media volume and ring volume are on silent. When you're done with the Assistant, all volume is back to normal (silent/vibrate for me, and media muted). Thanks for the great app 👍

I have have this app less then a day and it does works well on a Samsung S9. I did not use Google Assistant since installing the Volume Control last night - today after work I woke up the Google Assistant and the volume was back to using the system setting until I open up the app again to get it working again - kinda like it fell asleep, but was not told to wake up.... Edit - yep the phone put it to sleep, it is fixed now :)

About this app

How many times have you said "OK Google" only to have Google Assistant respond with silence or in such a soft voice you couldn't hear it?

Never again!

Volume Control for Google Assistant lets you set the volume level of Google Assistant separately from your phone's volume. That means Assistant will respond in whatever level you choose, even if your phone volume is low or on silent!

Simply allow the app access through Accessibility and set the options as you like. That's it! Next time you use Google Assistant it will use your volume settings.

Volume Control doesn't require any permissions other than Accessibility turned on and it saves no data about you.
