I am a T mobile customer and I was interested in seeing the cellular bands that this network is using since they are the only ones using the new 12 and 71 bands. So I downloaded it and I was happy to see that I am on the new 12 band extended distance (700mhz) band. Then your app next showed that my phone had switched to the 4? band. What is a 4? Band....What does the ? mean after the band 4? I also think that your app is not upgraded to the 71 band. Please update I would like to try again.

What's the point? It used to show the network Information in the notification, along with a matching icon. Now it just says upgrade to pro. Home screen is the same. Seems they completely removed the useful stuff. This is yet another example of a nice independently developed app being acquired by a big box mobile app company and being destroyed as a result.

Edit: not happy I needed the Fialer app but I saw another review mentioned it and downloaded it. It works... Google must have done something to prevent these codes from being pasted because neither auto paste nor manual paste works. The dialer deletes the code and the signal remains on whatever service it was on (I know I have both sprint and Tmobile service at my house). I have an unrooted LG V35 ULM (GOOGLE FI phone) running Fi.

I read in some place that it shows the active cellular radio band (800mhz.. 850mhz etc.) but it does not do that.... only shows the same info that you have in "About Phone" > "Status"... and less info that dialing *#*#4636#*#* .. so useless....... Ohhhh.. but the worst is "update to PRO"......" Buy PRO "......" you know about PRO "...... is every where!!!!

I bought the "pro" it was a waste of money; the app does not switch. It does not read the carrier correctly. Total waste of money. Last update last year, that alone should tell you something. Additional after developer reply: allowing accessibility flashes a security warning, this is unacceptable and should be against Google’s TOS. It used to work just fine; it worked very well in fact, until I tried using it today. The developers have integrated another app into this, it does not work, flashed security warning. Not worth it, I'm not sure I would use the free version either. Bottom line, it does not switch carriers any longer, and the “pro” version is supposed to do it without cutting and pasting, still have to paste, but does not seem to work or change carriers.

This app works flawlessly on my vivo 1904 @ android 9. I'm not using google fi or any american mobile network as the app suggested and developed for. I just install and upgrade to pro to monitored my daily usage and my carrier network coverage quality. This app is simple and easy to use and useful info it provided. Hence, i recommended to everyone to install signal spy!
