The app is ok, there are things needs to be fixed. 1 need to add NFC shortcut (when the app closed phone activate app selection menu when reading NFC tag so user can select) this app to start this app 2 need to be able to use camera to read passport photo page bottom data strings instead of asking user to manually type in birthday and passport number to decrypt BAC thanks developer for great work.

Really great app, reads epassports with non standard BAC. Would be off the chart if you could save the data read from a passport. The raw format would be ideal.

About this app

An e-Passport contains an electronic chip. The chip holds the same information that is printed on the passport's data page: the holder's name, date of birth, and other biographic information. An e-Passport also contains a biometric identifier. The United States requires that the chip contain a digital photograph of the holder. All e-Passports issued by Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries and the United States have security features to prevent the unauthorized reading or "skimming" of data stored on the e-Passport chip. The NFC chip of the passport is password protected, you need to provide following information: Passport number, date of birth, date of expiry.
