About this app

Note: Due to changes in the operating system, this app will have limited utility on Android versions 7.0 and later.

A simple utility allows you to reserve varying amounts of system RAM, temporarily reducing available memory. The purpose is to recreate low user memory situations which can be useful for developers performing stability tests and debugging apps running under adversarial marginal-memory conditions. This utility also allows you to validate Android vm heap memory settings in your build.prop. Warning: Allocating too much RAM using this tool can lead to system instability and promote LMK due to RAM insufficiency. Root is not required prior to API Level 24; This tool does not change or override any system settings, it only creates a native user process that requests memory. Use with "Meminf" or other system memory inspection utilities to further isolate causes of unexpected behavior when stress testing your app.
