Incredibly convenient to have in the quick settings. If I want to show somebody a video but it's bright out, this works much better than the automatic system brightness.

Works as advertised but it would be nice to have more ways to enable/disabled. For example, if the app supports toggle via shortcut, then I can assign it to a navigation gestures so I can turn it on when I can't see the content on screen due to bright sunlight outside.

About this app

Temporary Brightness allows you to override your device's screen brightness temporarily using a quick settings tile. Simply add the tile to your quick settings panel and adjust the brightness as needed. Perfect for quickly changing brightness in different environments.

Use Case: Showing Photos to Someone
Many people keep their screen settings dim to save battery and protect their eyes. However, when you want to show photos, the dim screen may make it hard to see. Changing settings each time is cumbersome. With this app, you can change the brightness from the quick settings panel until the screen turns off.

How to set up:

1. Allow "display over other apps" permission.
2. Edit your Quick Settings panel and add the "Temporary Brightness" tile.
3. Drag and drop the tile into the panel.

How to use:

1. Expand your Quick Settings panel.
2. Tap the "Temporary Brightness" icon to start adjusting brightness.
3. Use the seek bar to change the brightness. Tap the icon again or turn off the screen to cancel the override.

Note for Xperia Users:
On Xperia devices, the app may not work as expected if the auto-brightness feature is enabled in the OS settings. This is due to the specifications of Xperia devices.
