Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Counter on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

It is a versatile counter suitable for various usages.

Basic operations:
Tap start/stop button to start. (It will turn red)
Tap “+” button increase count.
Tap start/stop button to end. (It will turn green)
Tap save button to export result. The file is in simple text format. It is stored in external storage directory and file name is “count_yyyymmdd_hhmmss.txt”.

Advanced option:
If your device is equipped with proximity sensor, tap sensor button until tick sign is shown. Swiping over proximity sensor will increase count. It is equivalent to tapping “+” button, but you do not have to stare at screen during counting.

If you only see stop sign on sensor button, you cannot use this option.

Basic mode:
If you only need a tally, just follow basic operation.


Advanced mode:
If you need to record time stamp of each count, tap occurrence button until tick sign is shown.


Timer mode:
If you need to record counts for certain period of time, tap on “enter measuring period” button. In dialog box, use slider to choose required length. Permissible values are from 30 seconds to 1 hour in steps of 30 seconds. Press OK button to confirm.

Counting is automatically stopped when measuring period expires.


Note to Android Marshmallow:
Dialog box for granting write permission may be shown on start up. Please allow if you want to export result to external storage.
