While not an automatic mushroom id tool (no app can be), and while the free version only contains 48 species of mushroom, this is an amazing app if only for the quiz. I give it five stars for the quiz alone. It is very well thought out in the way it progresses. Once the main game using common names is finished, all the mushrooms come up again with scientific names only. Then comes the scientific name game that requires you to spell each name accurately. I can now id the 48 and spell the genus.

My first usage of the app, my first photo of a first mushroom I found. And the app "unfortunately stopped". Well, unfortunately, you are receiving 1 star and immediate uninstall

First of all if you are trying to identify mushrooms you need a local field guide. An app field guide is next to impossible to create. I like this because it has common mushrooms with descriptions but I use this app more for a mushroom picture journal. I can take a picture when I find a mushroom and it saves where the picture was taken. I can enter a description and name if I know what it is. I would like to be able to take multiple photos though. Like one of the mushroom and one of the gills. Please update
