This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing monitor-io on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

last update was in 2017... unfortunately they built something that had potential but haven't taken it anywhere. I am switching to fingbox as it provides the same features plus much more. hopefully they get this back on track and I can do something with this box. for now it's going to my hardware graveyard

About this app

The monitor-io app is used to receive the home network and internet alert notifications sent by the service. If you have multiple monitor-io devices, you can receive all alert notifications through a single interface.

The two categories of alerts generated by monitor-io are:

1. Home Network Alerts: These are associated with connections within the home including monitored devices (that should always be connected), unknown devices (that were never seen before) and controlled devices (that should only connect during configured time periods).

2. Internet Alerts: These are related to the health and reliability of internet connectivity. They include outages, connectivity issues and any degradation of quality or performance from the home network to the internet.
