The app fails to upload to Google Drive. The email functionality on each notebook page doesn't work. I cannot email a page from the app. None of the sharing options work. Seriously, why was I pointed to upgrade to this application when none of it is working yet. I'm stuck because it's not updating to Google Drive so I can't revert back to the old application. This ruins the purpose of having this pen.

Stopped working almost immediately, sees the pen but doesn't transcribe the notes I now have 26 blank pages in this App. It doesn't live transcribe either, a complete waste of time especially as I am using this for important meeting notes. Very poor and should not have been released.

A complete failure! I'm heavily invested in this system, and the new App is a disgrace! It took ages to migrate the notebooks, and now keeps crashing when the pen connects! It's literally unusable! Sort it out! Your advice about "continuing to use the old App" is ludicrous. The App sucks everything out of the pen, so even if you try App 2.0 it's a failure, because now the data is gone from the pen and when you find out it's rubbish, and go back to 1.0 the data is gone. Continuity gone!

The app is garbage! I spent a lot of money for the pen, and is now almost none usable. The first version worked OK. I hate this new version. I lost most of my first note books... They did not transfer over. The aesthetics are terrible as well. It just looks bad. The app is soooo slow bringing in the new pages I have written. Horrible!! How can I get the old version back??

Keeps crashing- I updated to a new phone and have my (2) notebooks saved on Google Drive; however, I am unable to use either applications at this time. I see my past notebooks in Notebox on version 1, and I see both notebooks briefly on version2, but version 2 keeps closing when it connects with my pen. I have (re)paired multiple times and the same thing happens.

The new app is terrible. I would give it zero stars if I could. Upload & Sync simply does not work. Smartpen has difficulty connecting to app. Transcription is *very* spotty. Totally defeats the purpose of having a smart pen and notebook, which is sad because I really love Moleskine products. I use Google Pixel 3 phone for app. I reinstalled the old Moleskine Notes app and it works well, but I don't know if I can import notes written while I used this beta POS. Developer: scrap it. Start over.

About this app

Moleskine Notes works with the Moleskine Smart Pen and Smart Notebooks to empower your handwritten notes and sketches by bringing them into the digital realm. Take notes by hand, transcribe them inside Moleskine Notes, and then share them with friends and collaborators. Go offline with your Moleskine Smartpen, and all of your work will be transferred upon reconnecting with the app. This means you write and draw anywhere and still create a shareable digital copy of your pages.

The notes you take in meetings or classes can be instantly converted to text, then exported as Microsoft Word, RTF, or TXT files. Draw diagrams and import them into your PowerPoint presentations. You can export your sketches to vector art and continue to refine work.

We all love screens and devices. However, when it comes to capturing your thoughts, nothing beats paper’s immediacy and open-ended possibility. The Moleskine Smart Writing set offers you the best of paper and digital to amplify your productivity and creativity.
