About this app

What is Streaming Optimizer?

Streaming Optimizer allows you to watch more videos, browse the web and stay active on social media for longer by optimizing your data to maximize your data consumption.

How does Streaming Optimizer Work?

Streaming Optimizer runs on your device and optimizes video streams to around 480P, which looks great on your device, and uses 1⁄4 to 1⁄2 of the data compared to a 1080P stream.
Note: Streaming Optimizer optimizes video on Cellular, it does not run on Wi-Fi.

How do I know if Streaming Optimizer is working?

Streaming Optimizer uses the VPN permission on your device and you will see the Key icon at the top of your device when it is enabled and running.
Estimated data savings for the last 30 days are shown on the main screen when the service is enabled.

Does Streaming Optimizer impact my battery or use Cellular Data?

Streaming Optimizer battery usage is typically around 1% in verified lab testing.
Streaming Optimizer may use a tiny amount of Cellular data only when Wi-Fi has not been connected to for that day.
Note: When Streaming Optimizer is enabled the OS will allocate Streaming Optimizer and the corresponding Battery Usage to the Streaming Optimizer app. This is due to how the OS measures data through the VPN on the device, not the actual usage of the Streaming Optimizer App.
