About this app

Mars Watch is a simple, digital, Android Wear compatible watch face that displays the current time in both MTC (Coordinated Mars Time) and UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).

MTC is displayed at the top in orange to symbolise Mars, whereas UTC is shown at the bottom in white to symbolise normal Earth time. MTC and UTC are implemented in favour of local time as this is how the vast majority of scientific observations are recorded when it comes to Mars and space.

This watch face has been designed for use by those who are enthusiastic about, or are working with both current and future manned and unmanned expeditions to Mars. Some of these people (who were also the inspiration behind this watch face) include:

- Elon Musk and the incredibly ambitious and inspirational team at SpaceX.
- Astrophysicists such as a great hero of ours, Neil Degrasse Tyson.
- Future astronauts such as the Mars One candidates who are set to become some of the first human Martian colonists.
- Robert Zubrin and all of the international members of the Mars Society.
- Science educators and space activists such as Bill Nye and the Planetary Society.
- The amazing team over at NASA and JPL who are leading the way for Martian exploration.
- Thomas Gangale who has done phenomenal work in designing Martian calendars.
- Fans of the book and film "The Martian" by the amazingly intelligent and talented Andy Weir.

Please feel free to suggest new features as well as leaving a rating so we can see what we are able to improve upon for future versions. Features that are currently under development for future versions of Mars Watch include:
- Earth and Mars timezone selection.
- Option to hide UTC.
- Ability to show current date on Mars according to the Darian Calendar.
- Upgraded design
