This app turns on the light immediately when you open it and off when you back out. Other flashlight apps require the additional step of hitting a button once in the app to turn on the light, so this app is faster to use.

If you look at the app permission it only ask to access camera which it need to access the flash,unlike others which need your GPS, phone calls etc.... Bye bye privacy

I wanted to like this so much. The concept is brilliant- widgetless, adless, practically permissionless flashlight! The two things that make it unusable are 1. It allows the phone to sleep, and that turns the light off. 2. It allows screen rotation, and the light goes out while shifting. An unreliable flashlight is not only hard to use, it is embarrassing. I'm so sorry that I can't use this one.
