This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing hovernote on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

PLEASE UPDATE! I've used this app for years, I love it, it has served me well and is an Old Faithful: I've used other similar but it is always hovernote that I revert to, nothing quite functions for me in the same useful way. (plus it is like old slippers). I just indulged in a new tablet, installed hovernote and am gutted to find a message saying, 'this is built for an older version of android.' I notice there are other reviews stating the appreciable utility of this app, so please UPDATE!

I LOVE this app. I use it often. It is so useful for composing messages while looking at what you are replying to. It's quick, simple, and has all the features you want. I would pay for this app if it cost money.

Used to work perfectly but now not so much. The notepad keeps disappearing which is exactly what I need it to not do. Needs an update.

I use this more than any other app. But one star withheld because, having recently had to revert to factory settings and reinstall all apps, I have just lost two hours work when the battery cut out. Because the auto-save for named files is not activated by default. I really cannot imagine anyone who would not want autosave activated. It should be the default setting on installation.

Liked this app and was going to start bragging on and sharing it... Then it started refusing to save. I've cleared cache, data, uninstalled/reinstalled, cleaned my phone and deleted the text files in case of corruption, and restarted my phone. It won't even save new text documents to new folders on SD or Device. I've switched to Floating Note. The icon has three sticky notes of orange yellow and blue with a white paperclip silhouette.
