While this app is very easy to use, and needs no further instructions as others cry about, and based on sound trig principles, the calculated results are WAY off. even when taking care to first input a very accurate "HI". Which, doing otherwise, would of course produce linearly induced measured distance errors. I used an HI of 3.25' and the result was off by 2' over a mere 9' actual distance. This on a LG G2. Will try again on a different device.

Good idea but poor execution. Grid rotates awkwardly. Measuring from standing to desk doesn't work. Add a feature which detects the a4 sheet of paper at varying distances and you may end up with a winner.

I tapped the beginning mark but nothing happened. I walked a distance and got no reading. Lousy app.

In theory this app sounds great, but on my Nexus 10 it inverts the x and y axes and cannot be used. It also lacks explanations and customisations.

About this app

With Surveyor, you can measure distances by placing markers on a virtual ground that is overlaid on the camera image.

Surveyor locks the virtual ground to the real world so no matter which direction you turn to, the markers will always stay where it is originally placed.

Distances between each markers are calculated and displayed on the screen in the unit system you specified. With the pro version you can place more than 2 markers and even get the area of the space surrounded by the markers.
