Tried it with MS band 2 + Note 4. App does not work and keeps crashing after pressing stat button. Waste of time and money.

I used this app specifically for research it helped me so much. I conducted the research in activity recognition using the Microsoft band and I needed to extract the raw data from the band, so I found this app and used it to save the data and export to a csv file it works fine and I didn't have any problems with it . A good update to the app I think would be to add more sensors because it currently stores data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate monitor and skin temperature monitor. another thing I have noticed when I export the csv file there is field that says speed but it is always zero I contacted the developer and he said that it has something to do with the band it self but he will be working on it. Other than that the app is awesome I totally recommend this app to however needs to access the micorosft band raw data for any specific reason.

About this app

Many fitness bands on the market today do not provide users with the ability to explore the full potential of their bands. This is done by restricting them from accessing the raw data of the sensors. Microsoft entered the fitness band market, using a unique approach which enabled users to directly access the band's sensors through a development interface. The MS band data collector application utilizes this feature by allowing users to store and label these values on their phone's local memory. This provision therefore allows for the efficient use of the Microsoft band and usurps its full potential. Subsequently this opens the door for the creation of more applications which can utilize the raw data and more importantly allow the user to gain control over his data and what to do with it.

**currently does not fully support all Microsoft band 2 sensors**

FEATURES :

* export the raw data to a csv file for further processing
* label the collected data
* add and delete customized labels
* choose from three different sampling rates to collect the data
* store the values recorded from the sensors on a local database
*choose which sensors to collect data from

New features

**Added UV index level to sensors
**Added speed to the collected data
** updated to work with android 6.0.1
**minor bug fixes
** fixed the app's crashing issue
