Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing UBots - Universal Chat Bots on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

Every time I open the app I immediately get the message, "Unfortunately, UBots has stopped. And I was really hoping to be able to use this with creating a chat bot... 😞 Guess I have to look elsewhere for now. 😕 By the way, I have an Android phone Version 4.4.4. And yes, it's a small one. Just in case you needed to know to fix this issue. 😉 And if you can, thanks! 😁

With its simple and easy to use graphical interface, anyone can create simple up to really advanced conversational bots.

Ubots includes a semantic engine that interprets the user's input, so you do not need to create multiple entries with the same meaning.
Your UBot will understand language variations on his own (currently only available in English).

Comprehensive Settings include:
- Welcome and default bot messages;
- Simple rules: what to answer when user says this or that;
- Control the flow of the conversation with Advanced Logics: what to do when user answer this or that to specific bot queries;
- Welcome, default, logics and rules can be linked to create elaborate discussions.

Chat:
- Chat with your bot only;
- Chat with other users' bots;
- Chat with multiple bots at the same time (creating a larger UBot combining all rules and logic from selected UBots);
- Easily select individual UBot by id on the Chat page or select / deselect multiple UBots using the dedicated selection page;
- Like, dislike or even report UBot's messages so your bot can learn the right interaction.

Each UBot is born with a unique id, which can be shared with anyone.
