This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ADroid Kustom Actions (Wallpaper Changer) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Use this to make an image change on demand to a random image from the folder of your choice. Anywhere you set an image to br(tasker,wallpaper) will change when you call this app. In other words, use Kustom as your wallpaper; set background in Kustom to a formula; the formula should be: br(tasker,wallpaper) Whenever you run this app, the picture changes! You can also make a square, set it's ontouch action to run this app, and now you got a button to trigger the change! And it sticks!

About this app

AKA Wallpaper Changer is NOT A STAND-ALONE APP function; make sure you have at least one Kustom app for it to work. NEVERTHELESS THE AKA ADDONS DON'T NEED KUSTOM; they will always work alongside this app.

The WALLPAPER CHANGER can choose an image inside a folder path, at random or in sequence, and simultaneously broadcast it to all your Kustom apps as a variable: $br(tasker, wallpaper)$. To experience how this works you can install my presets: Chroma Kustom Pack or Chroma Free KLWP.

Change your image on demand or automatically (every 15 - 30 - 60 min), having the options to go back to previous or to copy-paste whatever image (path) you want at any time. How? Place this app on your home screen or set it as a Touch/Action/LaunchApp and:

• Press 1 time to Set NEXT image
• Press 2 times to Set PREVIOUS image
• Press 3 times to PASTE (Clipboard) image
• Press 4 times to Open OPTIONS


Now, let me introduce to you the free AKA ADDONS! These app shortcuts can improve your presets by allowing them to perform other useful actions:

• AKA ALARMS - Create a Clock Alarm when none is enabled or Open your Clock Alarm list.
• AKA BRIGHTNESS - Toggle the display Brightness level between below 0*, 0, 50, 100 and 255. *optional but not necessary, works installing "Darker (Screen Filter)" or "Darker Pro"
• AKA LOCATION (root needed) - Toggle the device Location mode between Off, Device Only, Battery Saving and High Accuracy.
• AKA MOBILE DATA (root needed) - Toggle on/off the Mobile Network Data service.
• AKA SETTINGS - Access various Device Settings in a centralized way by tuning sliders and using toggles.
• AKA WALLPAPER2 - Send Wallpaper2 to Kustom apps through AKA Wallpaper Changer.
• AKA WALLPAPER3 - Send Wallpaper3 to Kustom apps through AKA Wallpaper Changer.

Note that changing the Brightness level in AKA Brightness or AKA Settings will broadcast a variable to all your Kustom apps available as $br(tasker, brightness)$.

This app requests the following permissions to achieve its proper functioning:

• Draw over other apps (to show and use overlays)
• Storage (to access your images)
• Modify system settings (self-explanatory for various addons)
• Camera (to toggle on/off the flashlight in AKA Settings addon)


WHAT IS A SCREEN OVERLAY?
Screen overlay is referred as “Draw on Top” when it comes to the android platform. It allows an application to reflect content over another foreground app.
