This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing VoiceToText Notes Long on PC Windows and Mac.

I like the interface, cleanest and simplest I've found. The accuracy is great for me. Honestly, I believe much of that is a matter of human getting used to machine. What's driving me Crazy is No Autosave. It's way to easy to close the the session (not even the app) and loose my work. I have to close the session in order save. Please, please, please allow saving without closing. And pretty please add autosave on closing. Thanks.

The transcribing in tests so far has been very good. However, there are some bugs and deficiencies that stop this getting a higher rating: 1. The menu text is hidden (not appearing as white on black, but black on black) therefore the user cannot see their saved notes. 2. Would be more convenient if it could send to more than just text and email e.g. dropbox. 3. I agree with Jay Jinn that it does stop too quickly and needs verbally recognised commands. If the developer could make these changes, then this app is definitely worth trying.

Improvements needed. 1. Setting for how long it records your voice.  20, 40, or 60 seconds. 2. Setting for how long a pause between words can happen, before it stops recording. It often stops too quickly. 3.  Verbally recognized command to start a new paragraph. 4. Link inside program to Google voice settings.

About this app

This is a app that lets you create long notes. You can create each note by recording your voice (the app will convert your spoken message to text automatically) or you can type in the note using your phone's keyboard. Each recording can last up to 40 seconds. This is ideal for dictation, recording long messages or stories.

Long-press on a note to bring up the list of options. FULL INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON THE DEVELOPER'S WEBSITE (link is listed below)

Each note can edited, deleted, viewed, sent to someone as a text message, emailed to someone or set as a reminder in your Calendar.

To delete, text or email the note, press the item for a few seconds. To view or edit the note, just touch it. To record your voice and have it converted to text, just press the 'Record' button.

This app is also designed so that it works properly on large screens like tablets.

This app is designed for long notes such as paragraphs, dictation, short stories, etc. If you plan on just creating quick short notes, then you should try the regular VoiceToText Notes version.

IMPORTANT NOTE - GOOGLE VOICE REQUIRED:
It uses Google Voice Search as the voice recognition system, so make sure you have Google Voice Search installed. You also have to spend several minutes with the app so that Google Voice "learns" your voice. The more you use it, the better Google Voice understands you, and the better this app works.
