It does not work on the Samsung Galaxy s8 (T-Mobile variant with hotspot already enabled/working). The icon when pressed says the hotspot is turned on but the hotspot is not. I still had to go into my settings to turn my WiFi hotspot on manually. But it seems like they tried to make it do that so I gave them some stars for effort.

Allows portable hotspot without a sim. Test working unlocked s10lite connected to unlocked s7. Using s7 as a Wi-Fi range extender effectively on holiday at a villa with weak signal. No sim installed in s7. Thank you Wi-Fi hotspot widget ;-) the only non scam hotspot app going.

The only hotspot app to enable hotspot on unlocked att lg v930 tablet now on tmobile. Not sure how it works since there is no tethering setting since att decided to remove tethering and it is not possible to root the device. Would be interested in how you did this!!

does not work on any of my three different models including the pixel 3, probably because it hasn't been updated in over 2 years

Easy to use and works well. The icon doesn't change colour on my phone though, and it asks for usage permission even when it is automatically switched on upon first use so you have to turn it off then on and close the app. It's ok afterwards. Could you pretty please make the icon change colour as it will help an elderly relative? 🙏

Easy and convenient. So much easier than clicking through each step individually. I love this widget.
