I am using this app with Tasker and it's working great. Lots of options to customize which files should be deleted.

About this app

AutoDelete deletes files in user-defined folders and subfolders if their last modified timestamp is older than a user-defined threshold.

Deletion starts automatically 10 seconds after app launch and can therefore be used with Tasker without any additional user intervention. AutoDelete is triggered by Tasker even when the screen is locked.

The root folder is set to internal storage by default. In this case, folder directories must be specified as absolute paths with the internal storage being the root directory. For example, the default camera folder is located at "internal storage/DCIM/Camera" and must therefore be specified as "DCIM/Camera" in AutoDelete.
Alternatively, the default root folder can be deactivated, allowing for user-defined file paths, like SD cards or removable storage. To select the default camera folder on the SD card, the directory must be specified as "/storage/xxxx-xxxx/DCIM/Camera", where "xxxx-xxxx" is the name of the SD card and can be determined with a file manager.

The modified time threshold is very flexible and be adjusted from 1 second to infinite days.

File extensions can be whitelisted or blacklisted in the settings.

Use cases for AutoDelete: Regularly delete old WhatsApp media files or downloaded files which are taking up storage space. When using an Android device as a surveillance camera, old photos can be deleted automatically and overwritten by new files.

New features

-subfolder inclusion can be deactivated.
-default root directory of internal storage can be deactivated to support folders on SD cards.
-bug fixes.
