This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing PumApp on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. PumApp es una herramienta útil y muy sencilla creada para ser usada por la comunidad de la UNAM que le permite al usuario realizar reporte en tiempo real sobre incidentes que requieran apoyo directo de instituciones de seguridad. Promueve que las autoridades correspondientes puedan actuar de forma inmediata.

Esta aplicación cuenta con diferentes tipos de reportes para que el usuario escoja el tipo de emergencia y se puedan generar estadísticas para las autoridades. Adicionalmente está diseñada para que el usuario pueda llamar al número de emergencia de la universidad y denunciar cualquier tipo de delito o situación sospechosa a través del teléfono celular inteligente, como por ejemplo, emergencias médicas, de fuego, policiacas, delitos en flagrancia, entre otros.

El reporte del usuario incluye la geo-referencia de la posición, la posibilidad de enviar texto o una imagen del reporte, así como realizar una llamada directa a las líneas de emergencia. Estos datos son transmitidos automáticamente y en tiempo real a un software basado en Web, al cual el el operador de la universidad puede tener acceso seguro, monitorear la actividad y tomar decisiones de cómo actuar.

Atención: El uso contínuo del funcionamiento del GPS en el fondo puede reducir dramáticamente la vida de la batería. La aplicación utiliza el GPS en el trasfondo para mantener al dispositivo ubicado en momento de emergencia aún cuando la aplicación se minimice.
