This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing G-Playlists on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

This app does not work on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Garmin Vivactive HR. I have downloaded the companion app from Garmin Connect and this app still does not work. I have done the obvious and synced the phone and the watch as well I rebooted the phone and the watch still no luck. I wish I could give no stars, but there is no option for that. If you don't see a reply from the developer in this review with a solution do not purchase the app.

Love the app. Allows me to control my phone/music without taking it off my arm while running... Only issue I'm having is I need to have my phone unlocked when I select a playlist using my watch, otherwise it doesn't load.. so I run with phone unlocked. Is there a way around this? Am I doing something wrong? Using Nexus 6p and Garmin Fenix 5 👌

Like it says in Stuart Rendall's review, this app has stopped working when the phone is locked which makes this useless since I have to put the phone in my hand. I hope the developer will have some time to fix it. On a Pixel 3, Android 9. This was working before so something has changed with Android 9.

Despite all the negative reviews I gave this app the benefit of the doubt but it doesn't work just like everyone says. I have refunded the app and I too wish I could give it zero stars. It is an excellent idea and would be a great application if it actually worked.

Great idea but does not work. It opens spotify for selected playlist but does not autostart/autoplay them. I need to press play button to start the playlist. Quick launch neither does not work. You can keep my money and make this work :)

Watch app will open playlist only if the Spotify app is open. The watch app will also not play the playlist. So you still have to use you phone to even start the playlist. Was hoping this app would be the fix to being able to control music through the watch while my phone was plugged into the stereo at work.

About this app

This is the companion app for G-Playlists widget that you install on your Garmin watch. It turns your watch into a Spotify remote that lets you remotely play playlists and albums of your choice.

Features:

- Easy to use. Automatically get necessary information of playlists and albums from Spotify once you share an item to the app.
- Add up to 10 playlists/albums that can be accessed via the menu button on your watch.
- A special slot for quickly launch your favorite playlist or album via the select button on your watch. When you are viewing the widget, simply press select to launch this slot on your phone.
- Support reorder and rename items. Make sure you sync the changes to the watch after they are made.
- Start with a random song for premade playlists/albums. Start with the first song for custom playlist.

How to use:

1. Make sure that you install the G-Playlists widget on your watch first! If you have not done so, please go to the Garmin app store, search and download the G-Playlists app.
2. Open the main Spotify app, long-press on a playlist or album - select Share - Post to - More - Select either G-Playlists or Quicklaunch.
3. Wait for the import to complete.
4. Press back to save the changes.
5. Repeat the steps to import more playlists. Once you are done, tap Sync to Device and select your currently connected watch.
6. Lock the phone, open the widget and select the item you want to play.
