Before the upgrade to OneControl, the APP worked, A+. With OCA, I have so many problems. If you are in an area without cell service, the app will not work. You can drive into an area with it working, but do not disconnect. I also have serious privacy concerns. Why does the app need your location and camera?

Terrible app. Won't connect even to the latest version on Android on a phone less than a year old. As seen in their responses below, they direct you to call a number which is Curt tech support, not Lippert. Well Curt says they can't help troubleshoot the app or phones and the echo is fine and TELL YOU TO CONTACT LIPPERT! Terrible experience so far. Likely going to have to return and get a brake controller installed in vehicle

I have a new pixel 8 and I can not get the app to connect to my bluetooth brake controller from Curt. I can see the brake controller in the bluetooth devices on the phone but the app will not connect. I previously had no issues with the Curt app but now how can I continue to use this device when towing? Really disappointed in this merger or whatever it was that forced Curt users into Lipperts application.

I thought the CURT app was awful, but this one takes the cake! We have five different Android phones between us, and every one of them either won't connect or will fall offline shortly after we get underway. The Echo button takes five to seven seconds to react now, as well; that makes it useless in an emergency.

This "upgrade" to the Curt Echo Brake Controller app has stopped me dead in my tracks. I use slightly older phones to run this critical app so my actual phone can run Android Auto, Navigate, and take calls. This new app isn't compatible on any of them, and those phones are not that old. You need to make this new app backwards compatible for previous versions of Android. Poor service by Lippert, but what else should I expect from the inventors of the world's worst RV slide system?

Same issue as others have mentioned. Bluetooth on my phone has no problem seeing and connecting to the device, but the app won't detect it. Not risking my family's safety on this garbage. Returning it tomorrow and getting a real brake controller.
