Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Lantronix Utilities on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Device Discover:
Will find Lantronix devices on the local subnet, make sure to be connected to WiFi.

Send Data:
Sends a line of data to a Lantronix Device Server that is configured to accept a tunnel connection (default configuration). Then waits for a response on the serial port for the timeout period in the settings, and returns that if available.

Access xSenso:
Get the analog values of the two inputs on an xSenso.

V1.3:
In the "Discovery Devices" area, clicking on a found device will give a popup menu to select:
Access the web browser for configuration
Save this device's IP address to the settings
Access an xSenso (if the device is an xSenso)

V1.2:
When clicking on a found device, will open browser for that device (to access configuration).

** Some devices reported the discovery function not working after upgrade due to the old database not being deleted when the app was upgraded. If you see this, go to the phone's Manage Applications, select LTRX Utilities, and Clear Data **
